day 358.

its been a Great Year!
especially the last few weeks of it :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

i can't believe my this project is over.
i have NO IDEA why i only have 358 days, though.
that makes me sad :(
i guess i could go through and count all of them to see where i messed up.. weird!

oh well.
i loved doing this, and now that it's over, i don't know what i am going to do.
its become such a habit to get my "photo of the day"
i got really lazy there though at the end of it. i wasn't bringing my camera around everywhere with me like i used to, and i missed out on some cool photos, which is sad.

i'm thinking i'll do another one of these, soon.
i want to make a book of it!

if you are a fellow 365'er , leave me your blog, i'd love to keep up with you!
thanks for all my loyal followers!
hope you all have a WONDERFUL NEW YEAR!!
and i challenge you to in SOME WAY, document your everyday life. You'll be surprised at what awesomeness surrounds you. you'll learn to appreciate small things. you'll see beauty everywhere, even in the mundane. you don't have to be a photographer, you just have to LIKE to take pictures AND commit to it.

SO DO IT! you won't regret it!

goodbye, sob sob.

day 322.

happy thanksgiving.

i am thankful for LIFE.

let me explain why i chose this photo. its been a crazy year for me, and for my husbands side of the family, and for a dear friend of mine. LIFE has been crazy. many babies were born, but none of them being mine. 4 of my sister in laws had babies this year. this is one of them. my friend has two babies that were completely unplanned, and she is unmarried. this isn't a self pity post by any means. what makes this whole thing significant and ironic, is that this baby's daddy has cancer, and has been told he has a 10% chance to live. This baby right here was conceived ONE month before they even knew he had cancer, and before he started chemo right after, making him sterile. this baby was a miracle.

this baby was given LIFE.
LIFE is a miracle.

i am so very blessed to have LIFE, while some our struggling so hard for theirs.

day 285.

this photo is special to me
because
whenever i see those beams of light coming down from the sky like that,
(do you see them?)
I think of my Grandma Gentry.
We were driving back from her funeral and the sky looked somewhat like this.
well, not stormy clouds, but more peaceful clouds with those amazing beams of light shining down like that.

I don't remember if someone in my family said it, or if i was just thinking it, but I thought of those beams of light as heaven opening itself up and welcoming my Grandma.
A lot of peace & calm came to me when i saw that.

I always love to see the sky doing that.
I think, who is heaven opening itself up to today?

(maybe thats cheesy, ok well i'm sure it is, but I DONT CARE!)

day 273.

3 year old pictures.
i don't know how i feel about having a 3 year old.

day 269.

everyday for lunch all that seems to sound good to me is this.
my mouth will literally water thinking about cheese.

honestly, i don't think it means anything relating to what could or could not be happening in my uterus right now.

as cool as that would be , i can't get my hopes up.
i love food , i get cravings. always. the end.

day 267.

peace.

day 265.

summer is ending.
this makes me a little sad, but a little glad too.

day 220.

everyday for the past week, i've taken on a new house cleaning/organizational project.
today was OUR CLOSET.

andrew has about as many shoes as I do.
I didn't count, but I'm sure there were at least 46 pair.

day 210.

4 years.
feels like 10.
can't decide if thats good or bad.
love you, andy.

day 159.

one year inspection today.
we've lived here nearly that long??
that's gotta be some kind of record for us. i like it.

and i like mopping.
but guess what? i'm actually not even being sarcastic

day 141.

just when i think i know whats going on.
just when i'm ready to call myself the shiz.
i am humbled.

there's always more to learn.

next time someone says photography is "just pushing a button, right?",
I'll slap their face off.
and i'm not kidding.

127.

lovely desert.

i never want to leave you or live without you.
southern utah is my home.

126.

1997 Sunfire
218,000 miles
$1500 OBO

NOT a good deal.
one of these days a SWEET deal of a car will appear in our lives.
patience.

day 122.

happy mothers day.
moms are seriously the bomb.
i am thankful for my mom & all she has done & continues to do for me.

day 110.

happy saturday.

every saturday should be filled with sunshine & a great adventure.
mine was. :)

day 100.

homemade oreos.
how am i ever supposed to lose weight when there are things like this in the world?

day 85.

flowers seem to make life better.
i'm pretty sure these were planted just for me to see today.

day 84.

sometimes, ya just need to get out of the house
and drive.

"It's driven me before, and it seems to be the way,

that everyone else gets around,

But lately I'm, beginning to find that,

When I drive myself my light is found."

*this is the song that crept into my head & I think it fits my life perfectly right now.

day 80.

this picture brings back warm summer memories.

On sunday drives as a kid, we'd go up in the hills and grab a "bucket of chicken"
that was before KFC started making KGC (grilled chicken)
Now everything is all messed up.

Yesterday, we went exploring in the mountains.
we grabbed our "bucket of chicken"

day 78.

i'm excited for easter!

and for these things:
egg hunts,
coloring eggs,
jelly beans,
warm weather,
but most of all:
SHARING IT WITH JAX!
